In Kazakhstan, 16.5 per cent of women aged 18-75 report experiencing bodily and/or sexual violence perpetrated by intimate companions. Nonetheless, since home violence continues to be underreported, the actual scale of violence is more likely to be a lot greater, says Amangeldi.
“For this reason I help the UN Ladies Regional Workplace for Europe and Central Asia’s #HearHerStory marketing campaign, aimed toward breaking stereotypes, eliminating victim-blaming, and amplifying girls’s voices. I name on influencers to share these tales, whether or not a couple of pal, a sister, or an acquaintance, to indicate the true scale and types of violence.”
The #HearHerStory marketing campaign is aiming to create a community of influencers dedicated to preventing violence towards girls and women and selling gender equality. With UN Ladies’s help, Amangeldi has organized conferences with influencers from Tajikistan and Uzbekistan to share experiences.
“Change begins with step one, and collectively, we will remodel society,” says Amangeldi. “I urge influencers, energetic residents, and anybody who cares—don’t stay detached. Help survivors, communicate out, and struggle for justice. Collectively, we will make it possible for our youngsters develop up in a society free from violence.”
