Within the current report (A/79/322), submitted pursuant to UN General Assembly resolution 77/194, the UN Secretary-Normal gives data on measures taken by UN Member States and actions carried out throughout the United Nations system to remove all types of trafficking of girls and ladies. The report is targeted on efforts to deal with the gender dimensions of the issue of trafficking in individuals and comprises suggestions on the strengthening of human rights–primarily based, victim-centred, and gender- and age-sensitive approaches inside complete, multidimensional, multicultural, and balanced efforts to deal with trafficking in individuals, together with within the prosecution of traffickers and safety of victims.
